How to Select The Right Wedding Guest Dress:

Prepare as per the dress code for the wedding: Evening and formal weddings call for a floor-length maxis; daytime garden and church ceremonies suit a lighter midi that won’t feel over-dressed; relaxed and summer receptions are where short wedding guest dress styles look good. If the invite says black tie, lean to satin and embellished styles.

Mind the palette: Avoid white, ivory and any colours close to it. Choose colours and styles as per your invite.

Dress for the setting:  Grass and stiletto heels don’t mix for garden or beach weddings choose a block heel and a fabric that moves.  Tulle and satin styles are good picks for garden wedding guest dresses. For ceremonies at the Church and some other venues, modest styles and a long-sleeve pattern may be a better fit.

Think about the season: Flowing chiffon and florals for spring and summer; richer tones, longer sleeves and heavier fabrics for autumn and winter.
